  27.     Absolutely awesome.  Totally incredible.  Wonderfully
  28. fantastic.  What can I say?  Wow!  :-)

  32.     The Waveys were definitely the very best part of SIGGRAPH!
  33. John Gross, Grant Boucher, and David Stipes all did an excellent job
  34. at the podium, although I really don't care much for Penn's humor (or
  35. language for that matter), but his fire eating was rather fun/bizarre
  36. to watch.  The Orpheum Theater was an absolutely beautifully restored
  37. theater.  The vast majority of finalists' entries were incredible.
  38. Mark Thompson's logo was definitely gnarly, the Countdown animation
  39. by GRID was stunning, and the best of show deserved it (Journeys
  40. of... hmmm, forgot the character's name).  One that I thought
  41. deserved an award but didn't get it was an animation of an X-men
  42. -type guy that had laser beams shoot from his eyewear, and then he
  43. did some stunning acrobatics.  The whole show went smoothly and the
  44. organizers did a great job.  Oh, and the *watermelon* served there
  45. was the best I'd had in years!!!  No kidding!  Oh, and I finally met
  46. a lot of people that I had been e-mailing for years but never saw
  47. their face, including Andrew Denton, who also taught me to juggle!

  52.     The demos reels shown by NewTek were incredibly powerful.  Of
  53. course, there were a lot of other really nice demos shown there too,
  54. but NewTek was no slouch, and did a great job.

  58.     An absolute blast.  I'm sure others will chime in.  Oh, the
  59. 3DS "biped" plugin was rather cool.  ElectroGig's demo was pretty
  60. cool too.  Hash did a nice job selling their tool too.
